In its true sense Operational Research is an interdisciplinary branch of applied mathematics that used methods such as mathematical modeling, statistics, and algorithms to arrive at optimal or near optimal solutions to complex problems. At eXsusa, we use these scientific methods to achieve specific goals and determine the maxima (assembly line performance, bandwidth, crop yield, and profit in some cases) or the minima (loss risk for example) of a particular objective function or process.
The field of Operations Research is more closely related to Industrial Engineering, however, IT industries use it to evaluate and analyze the business requirements through a mathematical schema that could work on the lines of extreme precision and accuracy. In this way the final product or system is completely coherent with what was required in the first place resulting in greater client satisfaction.

Not so surprisingly, the human element is very much necessary to drive these techniques in the proper way and make sure that output efficiency of the system is one which would be most suitable when it is put to test in real life.
